Icons on Ammunition Boxes Exhibition
All are welcome to a free exhibition of religious icons painted on ammunition boxes.
These icons were painted by Ukrainian artists Sonya Atlantova and Oleksandr Klymenko on used ammunition boxes from some of the deadliest battle zones of the war in Ukraine.
The project combines seemingly incompatible things to transform death into life, swords into ploughshares.
The exhibition is sponsored by the University Chaplaincy and by the Art as Revelation Project. The icons are available for purchase and proceeds from their sale will support Ukrainians affected by the war.
The exhibition will be open daily from 11am to 4pm.
