Holocaust Memorial Day is commemorated on or around 27 January each year to mark the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau. In addition to a commemorative name-reading on the day, the University's Interfaith Steering Group & JSoc will hold an evening vigil involving poetry, music and silence, which will be followed by a pier walk.
Students, faculty, staff and community members are welcome to join the commemorative pier walk in honour of the victims of the Holocaust.
There will also be time for reflections from different faith groups on campus and a performance from St Andrews Madrigal Group.
All are welcome to share in this significant occasion, regardless of faith or philosophy of life. Meet at the start of the Pier, East Sands, at 6.50pm.
