Heritage, environment and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): contributions to our shared future Part 2 Heritage
The Shared Island Stories project presents a two-part, youth-led webinar series connecting Barbados and Scotland through heritage, the environment, and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
- Session 1, on Thursday 30 July 2026, from 3pm to 4.30pm (10am to 11.30pm Barbados): focuses on the environment, exploring climate, land and sea across islands
- Session 2, on Thursday 6 August 2026 from 3pm to 4.30pm (10am to 11.30pm Barbados), focuses on heritage, examining colonial histories and imagining decolonised futures
Across both sessions, participants will build knowledge and inspire action towards a more sustainable future. They will also examine the past, recognise its legacy, and reimagine a future built on justice, respect and shared understanding.
This is a ‘Shared Island Stories Between Scotland and the Caribbean: Past, Present, Future' online workshop led by Research Assistants, Whitley Dasinger and Rowan Pelfrey.
