Have your say on Athena Swan: June drop-in session

All staff and students are invited to the first of our informal ‘Athena Swan drop-in sessions' on Monday 27th in St Mary's College, Lecture Room 3, 12:30 — 2.00 pm.

Athena Swan is a national charter mark that recognises the advancement of gender equality in higher education. The University of St Andrews was awarded a Bronze Athena Swan award in 2018 and we are currently preparing an application for a Silver award which will be submitted in July 2023.

As part of our application preparation, we are undertaking a self-assessment of gender equality at the university and identifying the areas where will we develop actions to support greater inclusivity for students and staff of all genders.

We want to ensure that everyone has an opportunity to give their views.
Is there an area of university policy that you would like to comment on, or have you got ideas about how to be more inclusive? Do you have something to say about how issues of gender equality intersect with other factors?

Please come along and ask a question or share your insights and experiences on advancing gender equality (not just women's equality) at St Andrews with some members of the institutional Self-Assessment Team (iSAT).
