Booker Project: Film Screening of Gun Crazy

inside the getaway car: one shot that lasted three minutes easy
and was just real life, right there.”
The above lines are taken from this year's chosen Booker book, Robin Robertson's The Long Take (page 90) and refer to Gun Crazy, or Deadly is the Female as the film was also known.
The influence of Gun Crazy, and film noir sensibilities more generally, can be felt throughout Robertson's book and so this screening is a complementary event leading up to Robertson's visit to St Andrews on Wednesday 6 November to discuss his work.
The Library is delighted that the screening will be introduced by Dr Tyler Parks from Film Studies, who will give a talk about the film.
The screening is open only to University students and staff.
