Welcome to our Family and Community Learning Day at Younger Hall — Open to school pupils, families, adult learners and anyone curious about studying at St Andrews.
Explore the university, take part in hands on activities that are fun and interesting for all the family, and talk with staff and students about studying at St Andrews. Learn about the different routes into higher education, and the support available to learners at all stages. We are delighted to invite you to explore a wide range of exciting activities taking place throughout the day. Most sessions will be hosted inside Younger Hall, where clear signposting will help guide you to each activity and workshop.
Across the venue and beyond, there's something for everyone to enjoy. Discover the wonders of natural history at the Bell Pettigrew Museum and explore the fascinating story of Mary Queen of Scots at the Wardlaw Museum, both offering engaging, hands on experiences for families. Travel through space with GeoBus and our immersive mobile planetarium, get creative with crafts and colouring, or take part in interactive activities from Medicine, Social Anthropology and Computer Science.
We also invite you to discover our MA Combined Studies evening degree, designed especially for part-time students. This flexible programme welcomes those with or without traditional qualifications, offering an accessible route into higher education. During your visit, you'll have the opportunity to meet current students and speak with academic staff to learn more about studying in the evening and how the programme can fit around your commitments.
You can also enjoy sports sessions with student ambassadors, face painting, a scavenger hunt, town tours, and even a photo opportunity in traditional red gowns by the St Andrews sign. Be sure to visit the Professional Services Fair to meet organisations supporting families and young people, and don't miss the bubbles and ice cream adding a little extra magic to the day.
