This mixed media concert of chamber music with poetry honours authors and social
campaigners Vera Brittain and Winifred Holtby. Featuring music by Eric Starr and the timeless
poetry of these remarkable authors, the performance will conclude with a brief Q and A.
The concert will be narrated by Tamzin Merchant, a celebrated actor known for her roles in
Pride & Prejudice, The Tudors, Salem, and Carnival Row. She is also the bestselling and awardwinning author of The Hatmakers and several other children's books.
