Enterprise Week Keynote: Jude's -- ice cream and entrepreneurs
To open a week of events, workshops, activities and competitions, the Entrepreneurship Centre will be joined by two entrepreneurs as thre keynote speakers for Enterprise Week 2023. University of St Andrews alumni Alex Mezger and Dr Bahbak Miremadi will share their wisdom and experiences of navigating the world of entrepreneurship, creating a leading household brand in the consumer goods sector which has revolutionised the ice cream market, and how building a medical tech platform has presented unique challenges.
Join Alex Mezger, Co-CEO at Jude's Ice Cream, and Dr Bahbak Miremadi, Previous Board Member at Jude's and Director of Elephant Healthcare, in a live-podcast format with free Jude's giveaways. You'll have the chance to network with the entrepreneurs and ask questions on their start-up journeys, their carbon-cutting missions, and how they have created one of the UK's leading brands.
Principal Professor Dame Sally Mapstone FRSE will deliver an opening speech and introduce our keynote speakers on the evening.
Alex Mezger is an entrepreneur who delights in seeing ethical and sustainable businesses thrive. He has spent the last 19 years as Co-CEO of Jude's ice cream, a family business which is the fastest growing premium ice cream brand in the UK. Jude's mission is to pioneer radical change in the industry by making the most delicious craft ice cream whlie treading lightly on the planet. Previously Alex worked at PriceWaterhouseCoopers in their Business Recovery Team. He studied Modern History at St Andrews, graduating in 2001.
