Enterprise Week: How to Impress an Investor and Navigate the Investment Landscape

Join us for Day 4 of Enterprise Week 2023, covering all things Investment – organised in collaboration with the Investment Society.

We're delighted to be joined by University of St Andrews Alumnus who will sharing his experience of working with over 200 start-ups to provide hints and tips on how to wow an investor.

Join Alex Rowe – Co-Founder & Partner at ISOBEL Ventures – for how to impress an investor and navigate the investment landscape.

Alex Rowe:

Alex is the Co-Founder and Partner of ISOBEL Ventures, a brand new pre-seed and seed stage venture capital fund based in Glasgow. A St Andrews graduate (Economics (MA Hons), 2015), Alex held a number of business development and marketing roles in early stage tech startups in London following his graduation, before joining Growthdeck (https://www.growthdeck.com/), a private investor network. He subsequently joined FinTech startup, gohenry, where he helped to raise £8m+ in just 18 months as part of the finance team, leading a £6m equity crowdfunding campaign, the largest in the UK at the time. Most recently, he was Head of Investment at Raising Partners, an early stage investment advisory firm where he worked with almost 200 startups including Plum Guide, Thread, Wombat, Penfold, Zero Petroleum, The Curators, InvestEngine and &SISTERS, raising over £65m over 4 years. He also published the single first piece of academic research into UK equity crowdfunding and co-founded a St Andrews alumni investor network.
