Dear all,
You are invited to an online talk with three contemporary Ukrainian artists and creatives to discuss the fascinating issue of Empathy and Art in the Apocalyptic Times. We will be joined by the artist and architect Vasylysa Schogoleva, the author and educator Marichka Kosyichuk, and the multidisciplinary artist Viktoriia Saryozhavna to talk about the future of artistic practices, dangers and rewards of searching for new senses in the cities at war.
Vasylysa Shchogoleva, M. A., studied Architecture at the Hochschule Anhalt at Dessau-Roßlau (Germany) and at Kharkiv National University of Civil Engineering and Architecture. She worked as an architect both in Ukraine and Germany while developing her practice as a visual artist with a focus on art in public space.
Marichka Kosyichuk is an observer, Ukrainian language teacher, and writer, qualified in Audio-Descriprion writing for the cinema and theatre. During her residency she was writing, discovering the artistic scene of Kharkiv, and presenting the audiodescription for the Ukrainian documentary film “Nice Ladies”.
Viktoriia Maksymova (Saryozhavna ) is a multidisciplinary artist from Shostka and Lutsk, Ukraine, working across land art, performance, painting, and book illustration.
