Eco-anxiety Café

Make yourself a hot (or cold!) drink and join the Rector's Committee and Transition for a chat about your climate change concerns at their first Eco-Anxiety Café.

These cafés are designed to be a thinking and feeling space where you can freely talk about your worries over climate change. Eco-anxiety is becoming a more and more prevalent issue and can encompass emotions such as stress, anxiety, grief, depression and denial associated with climate change and the future of our planet.

Students, staff and community members are all welcome. We hope to make these cafés a regular way to support those struggling with eco-anxiety and promote better mental wellbeing. Support will be available after the session if you feel that you need or would like it.

The first Eco-Anxiety Café will be run over Zoom – check out our Facebook event on the Rector's Committee page for more information. Or you can contact Heather, RC Climate Action Coordinator, on [email protected] if you have any questions.
