DWD Shaw Memorial Lecture: 'Ecumenism: Gospel Imperative, Harsh Reality, and Pilgrim Journey' Professor Paul Nimmo, King's Chair of Systematic Theology, University of Aberdeen

St Andrews hosts this year's public memorial lecture that commemorates prominent Scottish theologian, churchman, and philanthropist, Revd Professoor D W D (Bill) Shaw, Professor of Divinity at St Andrews from 1979 to 1991 and Principal of St Mary's College from 1986 to 1992, who died in July 2022.

The Hope Trust is sponsoring this series of memorial lectures around Scotland.

Preceding the lecture a memorial to Professor Shaw will be formally unveiled in the grounds of St Mary's College. The unveiling ceremony will take place at 5.15pm and last for five to ten minutes. Everyone is welcome to witness the unveiling and then retire to Parliament Hall (immediately adjacent) for the lecture.

A drinks reception will follow the lecture in the same venue.
