Contemporary Perspectives on National Security and Defence: Professor Andrew Neal
Join students of the Political Institute of Action Research (PIAR) to hear Professor Andrew Neal, Chair of International Security and Postgraduate Programmes at Edinburgh University's School of Social and Political science who will be speaking in St Andrews.
Having worked in Edinburgh's International Relations department since 2007, Professor Neal has a wide catalogue of published work covering topics such as counterterrorist lawmaking, human interest in the Iraq War, and the politicisation of security.
There will be a 40-minute presentation by Professor Neal about his most recent work compiling national security and defence documentation as a research resource, which will be followed by 20 minutes of questions and answers.
For anyone interested in political researching, or Professor Neal's specialist subjects of National Security and Defence, this is an excellent opportunity to learn more about contemporary work in the discipline and the practices and methodology of political research work.
