Being Non-Binary in a world of dichotomies In conversation with Dianna E Anderson

Join Avery Hawkins (they/them/their), Chair of the University Wellbeing & Engagement Group, for an interview with Dianna E Anderson (they/them/their), author of Damaged Goods: New Perspectives on Christian Purity and Problematic: How Toxic Callout Culture is Destroying Feminism, about what it can mean to be non-binary, how and where non-binary people can fit into trans and queer spaces, and to discuss their new book, In Transit: Being Non-Binary in World of Dichotomies.

In their new book, non-binary writer Dianna, while telling their own coming-out story, traces the history and theory of non-binary identity to offer a space for people to know, explore and understand themselves in the context of a centuries-old understanding of gender nonconformity and to see beyond the strict roles our society has for men and women.

The 60-minute session will consist of an interview conducted by Avery, followed with a Q&A.
