Athena Swan action plan drop-in session Taking action to address gender inequality

All staff and students are invited to an Athena Swan action plan drop-in session, hosted by the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) team.

Athena Swan is a national charter mark that recognises the advancement of gender equality in higher education. St Andrews was awarded a Bronze Athena Swan award in 2018 and the institutional self-assessment team are currently preparing an application for a Silver award.

As part of the application, the team are developing an action plan which will support greater inclusivity for students and staff of all genders around key priority areas, including senior representation, progression pathways, gender pay gap, intersectional experiences, supporting inclusivity of trans and minority gender staff, academic workloads, and wellbeing.

The team want to ensure that everyone has an opportunity to give their views, so come along and give your comments on the proposed actions over some tea, coffee and cake.

You can also ask a question or share your insights and thoughts on advancing gender equality at St Andrews with members of the team.

If you are unable to make this date, another session will take place on Monday 6 November from 12.30pm to 2.30pm in Parliament Hall.
