Creative industries: Q&A with film producer Silvia Santamaría Part of the Reenacting Women's Lives series

Silvia Santamaría (she/her) is a celebrated Colombian actor and producer. She is a leading voice for diversity and LGBTIQ+ representation in Colombian cinema. She brings a decade of international teaching experience from Bogotá to Valencia, where she currently co-directs the drama school Set de Cinema.

During the session, hosted by the Careers Centre's Amy Kinsman, Silvia will discuss her early career, her current projects, and the challenges she faced along the way. The session will also explore the future of the industry, including the growing impact of technology on creative careers, as well as practical tips for pursuing careers in film and the wider creative industries.
