3 Minute Thesis

A typical PhD thesis is 80,000 words long and would take more than nine hours to read. Three Minute Thesis (3MT) challenges doctoral candidates to present a compelling spoken presentation on their research and its significance in just three minutes!

3MT was first developed by the University of Queensland and its success has seen it spread across the globe. The annual St Andrews Three Minute Thesis competition, supported by CEED, returns this month.
