SUMMARY:Virtual Pier Walk & Historical Tour
DESCRIPTION:From wherever you may be in the world, experience virtually the traditional Sunday Pier Walk and discover the extraordinary history of sites along the route from St Salvator's Chapel to the pier. A nostalgic video by Forrest Pando (MLitt 2020, Film Studies) and Zaynah Akeel (2nd Year MA Comparative Literature & Film Studies) captures the spirit of the walk.    Then discover the stories of the places the walk passes with a historical tour from the University’s Open Virtual Worlds team. Digital reconstructions from the past of St Salvator’s, the Cathedral and the Harbour will be interwoven with historic images and discussion.    As part of this celebration of the pier walk, the Alumni team would like to share your photographs of the St Andrews pier and the traditional pier walk. Please send your photographs, together with your name and, if appropriate, your subject of study and year of graduation to alumni@st-andrews.ac.uk.
