SUMMARY:Saints Talk: Dr Anindya Raychaudhuri
DESCRIPTION:Join us at the latest lecture in the Saints Talk series – A feeling called country: Oral History and the Landscape of Emotion in the 1947 India/Pakistan Partition by Dr Anindya Raychaudhuri – on Tuesday 9 February at 5.15pm GMT via Microsoft Teams. Dr Raychaudhuri has conducted a series of oral history interviews involving people’s memories of the 1947 India/Pakistan Partition. Using this research, he explores how we remember and express difficult emotions from the past and how our bodies physically respond to these emotions when we think and write about them in the present. He also asks what lessons we can learn from this research during a time when it is very difficult for us to express our emotions face-to-face. If you have missed any of the past Saints Talk Lectures, you can watch them again on our Alumni YouTube channel. We hope to see you on Tuesday at the online event. https://events.st-andrews.ac.uk/events/saints-talk-dr-anindya-raychaudhuri/
