SUMMARY:A Bigger Picture: Poetry and Faith
DESCRIPTION:This event features the guest preacher at St Salvator’s Chapel the following day, Revd Mark Oakley, Dean of St John’s College, Cambridge.    Mark is the author of The Splash of Words: Believing in Poetry (2016). At this event, he will be joined by poets who will read a small number of their poems related in some way to faith, and then discuss how they understand the relationship of poetry and faith.    Poets confirmed as taking part include Sharon Black, Barbara Davey, Michael Symmons Roberts, John Burnside and Kenneth Steven. The Chaplain Donald MacEwan will introduce the event.
