SUMMARY:(Re)Discovering Ava: the Achavanich Beaker Burial project
DESCRIPTION:The Achavanich Beaker Burial project, also known as the Ava project, set out to uncover and share information about a young woman from Copper Age Caithness. Led by Maya Hoole (Historic Environment Scotland), this research included the work of multiple specialists using a range of traditional and non-traditional methodologies. Maya's research interest is on individual identities in prehistory and in this talk she will cover both the findings from the Ava Project  and will also present early results of a new investigation of another Beaker associated individual.
