SUMMARY:Research Unit for Research Utilisation (RURU) workshop seminar
DESCRIPTION:"Researching policy engagement: what have we learned and where do we go next?" Vicky Ward and Huw Davies of the Research Unit for Research Utilisaton (RURU), based in the School of Management, and Nick Bibby of the Scottish Policy and Research Exchange will host this interactive online seminar workshop exploring the current state of research on policy engagement. Invited speakers, including Kat Smith of the University of Strathclyde and Mark Monaghan of the University of Birmingham, will explore what we know about how researchers and policymakers engage with one another, how research and other forms of knowledge inform policy and the issues and challenges which remain. Small group discussions will allow the opportunity to consider questions such as: •	What have we learned in the context of COVID-19 about policy engagement? •	How we can better understand the interactions between research and policy? •	What will be the priorities for future policy engagement research? Attendance will be by invitation. If you would like to attend or have any questions, please contact Dr Vicky Ward in the School of Management. https://events.st-andrews.ac.uk/events/research-unit-for-research-utilisation-ruru-workshop-seminar/
