SUMMARY:International women’s day is coming soon! – Public Collaborative Wikipedia Editing (5).
DESCRIPTION:Hello Everyone, Are you interested in learning a new skill by an accredited Wikimedia UK trainer and supporting St Andrew’s women at the same time?! I am conducting a series of Wikipedia editing events, where I will provide free training on Wikipedia editing and the available tools. I will be inviting participants to these events – three per event – to add and edit Wikipedia articles about notable women alumni of the University of St Andrews, such as Agnes Forbes Blackadder article, which we wrote in our last pilot event. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Agnes_Forbes_Blackadder This is not part of my study, and I will not be collecting any data for my PhD research. It will only be about training three people at a time to edit and add St Andrew’s female alumni pages. If you are a group of three people and you know an academic female who meets Wikipedia Notability criteria, I would love to train you to collaborate on writing a good article about her. No matter if she is a living person or not. I am hosting the event from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm at the School of Computer Science on the 12th of March, John Honey Building - Goldfish Bowl. Please register your place or your group place through the following link: http://collaborative-wikipedia-editing.eventbrite.com Refreshments will be provided. If you are interested, please register or reply so I would send you further information. Best wishes, Abd — Abd Alsattar Ardati PhD Student School of Computer Science, University of St Andrews, Scotland aaa8@st-andrews.ac.uk | www.st-andrews.ac.uk https://events.st-andrews.ac.uk/events/international-womens-day-is-coming-soon-public-collaborative-wikipedia-editing-5/
