SUMMARY:Climate Change, and Climate Enigmas
DESCRIPTION:Do we understand climate or don’t we? In this public lecture Professor Steven Sherwood of the University of New South Wales will talk us through the physics of global warming and some of the misunderstandings behind climate scepticism, but his research is tackling genuine climate enigmas — things we can’t yet explain. Professor Sherwood will show how observations and detailed simulations of clouds and storms might resolve some of these mysteries of our planet’s past and future climates. The lecture will be followed by a reception in Upper College Hall. https://events.st-andrews.ac.uk/events/climate-change-and-climate-enigmas/
