SUMMARY:Feminist and Decolonial Agendas: A conversation with Diana T. Kudaibergen
DESCRIPTION:GloPost and MECACS are delighted to welcome Dr. Diana T. Kudaibergen for a special talk exploring her latest research on nationalism, identity, and power in Central Asia. We will also reflect on feminist and decolonial approaches to research, offering fresh perspectives on how knowledge is produced and understood in the region (and beyond).    Dr. Kudaibergen is the award-winning author of The Kazakh Spring, which has received the 2026 Alexander Nove Prize for Best Book in Russian, Soviet and Post-Soviet Studies. She is also the author of Rewriting the Nation in Modern Kazakh Literature (Lexington, 2017), Toward Nationalizing Regimes: Conceptualizing Power and Identity in the Post-Soviet Realm (University of Pittsburgh Press, 2020), and What Does it Mean to Be Kazakhstani (Hurst, 2025).
