SUMMARY:St Andrews Repair & Advice Cafe
DESCRIPTION:At Transition St Andrews repair and advice cafes, a team of volunteers fix clothes, jewellery, chipped ceramics and electrical items, all for free. To celebrate the University's annual Sustainability Week, the first ten clothes repair customers who come to the cafe will receive a free sewing kit, sourced from the fantastic Wee Pin Cushion in Cupar.    We live in a highly throwaway society but it doesn't have to be that way. Sharing resources, including skills and knowledge, sits at the heart of every strong community. As well as keeping your belongings out of the waste stream, you can also learn a little more about how everyday objects are often quite easily fixed.    There is also plenty of sewing equipment, including a machine, for you to use if you would like to have go yourself.    Everyone is welcome. Please join your local repair revolution and be part of the change.
