SUMMARY:Unsettling the museum: thinking through Indigenous entanglements
DESCRIPTION:EDGES (Entangling Indigenous Knowledges in Universities), in collaboration with the Institute for Museums, Heritage and Society (IMHS), invites participation in this international symposium.    The event will bring together Indigenous and non-Indigenous scholars, curators, artists and community practitioners to critically reflect on museums as postcolonial institutions shaped through complex Indigenous entanglements. Across three thematic strands, the symposium will explore Indigenous agency, decolonial curatorial practices, reparative approaches to collections, and new relational ethics of care, collaboration and knowledge-making.    Participants are invited to engage with the symposium in two ways:     	as attendees, joining the discussions, workshops and exchanges   	as presenters, by submitting a paper proposal    Early bird discount to attend the event is available until the end of March.    The symposium is organised as part of the EDGES project, with the support of ICOM's International Committee for Social Museology (SOMUS) and International Committee of Museology (ICOFOM).
