SUMMARY:Visualising Scotland's Future Symposium and Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:The Visualising Scotland's Future project, funded by the Scotland's Future Series, aimed to gather a more holistic view of what people feel are important challenges and opportunities impacting Scotland's future by reaching out to groups which may be underrepresented within our University community or marginalised in conversations on this topic.    Project participants, including local community groups, prison centres and education programmes, took part in workshops where they co-created mindmaps detailing what they felt Scotland does well and what could be improved. Participants then individually created a piece of artwork visualising the key theme they felt was important to consider in Scotland's future, including education, healthcare, community and infrastructure.    This symposium will summarise the project findings, allow us to consider how we as individuals, and the University more generally, can take these findings into consideration, and provide an opportunity for attendees to contribute to our exhibition. Agenda for the event:     	10.45am: Arrival and refreshments   	11am: Key note   	11.05am: Overview of project findings   	11.30am: Lightening talks   	11.50am: Facilitated group discussions: reflections on what attendees can do to support the vision for the future   	12.10pm: Lunch, networking and time to view the exhibit   	12.45pm: Attendees have the option to create their own piece of art in a facilitated session   	2pm: End of session    All University staff and students, as well as project participants, are invited to attend this free event.
