SUMMARY:Chaplain’s Conversations: Professor Sarah Broadie
DESCRIPTION:The third of this year’s series of events to discover more about the people of the University of St Andrews will be with Professor Sarah Broadie, School of Philosophy. In conversation with the Chaplain, Donald MacEwan, we will explore with Professor Broadie her career, what inspires her in her research and her thoughts about the future of education. Professor Broadie taught at the Universities of Edinburgh, Texas at Austin, Yale, Rutgers and Princeton, before coming to St Andrews in 2001. She focusses on ethics, metaphysics and, in particular, classical philosophy, with expertise in Aristotle. Professor Broadie served as Vice-President of the British Academy, and she has also been President of the Aristotelian Society and the Mind Association. The quality of her scholarship and commitment to teaching were recognised with the award of an OBE in this year’s Queen’s Birthday Honours. https://events.st-andrews.ac.uk/events/chaplains-conversations-4/
