SUMMARY:Beyond the Horizon
DESCRIPTION:Be inspired by new perspectives on the infinite beyond the horizon at this new installation where astronomy and art intersect. Glimpse the vastness of our Universe at Beyond the Horizon, the striking new astronomy and art installation at St Andrews' Twin Dome Observatory.    In this highly original and curious setting, a carefully chosen section of the observatory negative collection will be temporarily displayed in the redesigned Twin Dome, once home to a twin photometric telescope. Merging the dome's contemplative space with the vast distances shown in the negatives aims to inspire new perspectives on the infinite beyond the horizon.    Our first 100 visitors will each receive their own photographic negative to take away and with which to create their own responses for inclusion in further expansions of the project.    The exhibition will be open over the weekend of 14 and 15 September at the following times:     	Saturday 14 September, 10am to 12 noon   	Saturday 14 September, 2pm to 4pm   	Sunday 15 September, 2pm to 4pm   https://observatory.wp.st-andrews.ac.uk/
