SUMMARY:The Athena SWAN journey: three departmental Gold Award holders share top tips and best practice
DESCRIPTION:Organised by the School of Biology Equality and Diversity Committee, and supported by Wellcome ISSF Equality and Diversity funds, this workshop aims to share and promote best practice between institutions and departments applying for Athena SWAN Awards.    Join us in the Arts Lecture Theatre (adjacent/behind the University Library) to hear three Athena SWAN Gold Award holders talk about their Athena SWAN journey, give us their tips and share best practice.    Programme  10am - Welcome  10.10 am - Dr Caroline Dessent, Department of Chemistry, University of York (Gold 2007, 2010, 2015, 2018; the UK's longest Gold Award holder)  11am - Coffee  11.15am - Dr Cindy Gray, Institute of Health and Wellbeing, University of Glasgow (Bronze 2014, Silver 2015, Gold 2017)  12.05pm - Professor Helen Sang, The Roslin Institute, University of Edinburgh (Bronze 2012, Silver 2014, Gold 2017)  12.55pm - Lunch  1.30pm - Panel discussion  3.00pm - Finish    Whether your School is applying for a Bronze, Silver or Gold Award, this event will be useful to help identify steps that we could and should be taking to promote equality and diversity at St Andrews. E&amp;D representatives, committee members and interested staff are welcome to attend.    Lunch and refreshments will be provided. Vegetarian and vegan options will be available.
