SUMMARY:Workshop: Museums, youth issues, heritage and the climate emergency
DESCRIPTION:Interested in museums, youth issues, heritage and the climate emergency?     This FREE participatory workshop will offer the opportunity to share, discuss and debate these issues with international and national experts, including climate activists and heritage professionals. You are invited to take part, share your story and potentially impact international museum policy!     This workshop is part of a global series funded by the International Council of Museums (ICOM) via the special project entitled 'Young People Shaping the Future of Museology through the Lens of the SDGs'. Jamie Allan Brown, Research Fellow in the School of Art History and Project Lead, will chair the workshop, invited speakers include;     Hilda Flavia Nakabuye, Youth Climate Activist and Founder of Fridays for Future (FFF) Uganda    Prof. Peter Davis, Renowned Author and Expert on Ecomuseums, Newcastle University, UK    Kaye Hall, Education &amp; Outreach Officer, Barbados Museum &amp; Historical Society, Barbados    Lucy Neville, Climate Officer, Museums Galleries Scotland     Maia Mutto, Education Manager, National Gallery of the Cayman Islands, Cayman Islands    This activity is part of the University of St Andrews Scotland's Future Series.     This conference is part of the Shared Island Stories research project, which was selected by the European Research Council (ERC) and funded by UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) with project reference EP/X023036/1.
