SUMMARY:Department of Finance seminar with Dr Elisa Newby, Bank of Finland
DESCRIPTION:This research seminar will welcome two visitors from the Bank of Finland: Dr Elisa Newby, Head of the General Secretariat, who will be giving a talk, and Dr Ikka Korhonen, Head of Research.    The title of the presentation is 'Microblogging money'.    Dr Newby has been with the Bank of Finland since 2010. She worked in macroeconomic forecasting and, as lead of the market operations division, oversaw Finland's execution of the Eurosystem's monetary policy.  She has been College Lecturer in Economics and Fellow at Fitzwilliam College, University of Cambridge. Dr Newby was awarded her PhD from the University of St Andrews.
