DESCRIPTION:Caroline Taylor (Peri)  Jamie MacDougall (Narrator)  Rachel Munro (Maiden)  Tania Holland Williams (Angel)  Christian Schneeberger (Young Man)  Ben McAteer (Gazna)    St Andrews Chorus  Heisenberg Ensemble  Michael Downes (conductor)  Feargus Hetherington (leader)  Andrew Macintosh (organ)    St Andrews Chorus returns to Dundee's magnificent Caird Hall, currently celebrating its centenary year, for a performance of Schumann's glorious Paradise and the Peri. Based on an episode from Thomas Moore's epic poem Lalla Rookh, it was Schumann's most popular piece in his lifetime, but performances now are a rarity: Sir Simon Rattle describes it as "the great masterpiece you've never heard".    The Chorus is delighted to welcome back six soloists with strong links to the Music Centre, three of them St Andrews alumni who sang with the Chorus during their time here.
