SUMMARY:School of Management pedagogy development session
DESCRIPTION:This session builds on the series of research and pedagogical workshops held in 2022-2023 with Professor Kathy Lund Dean, Honorary Professor in the School of Management. As engaged and experiential learning course and curricula designs gain traction throughout business and management education around the world, the gap between good intentions and educator preparation is growing. Recent research has argued for creating a community of practice for experiential educators, increasing attention to potential student risks, unexpected classroom outcomes and negative student reactions to experiential activities. Bring experiential learning activities you have used or would like to use with students and join Kathy Lund Dean for this interactive session titled, 'Using experiential learning activities ethically and effectively: thinking through experiential opportunities using a community of practice'. Further details about the seminar have been circulated within the School. https://events.st-andrews.ac.uk/events/school-of-management-pedagogy-development-session-4/
