DESCRIPTION:One of the most innovative musicians in the world today, and one of the most celebrated pianists of our time, makes a highly anticipated one-off appearance in the McPherson Recital Room. Her programme juxtaposes the heady sound-world of Richard Wagner and Franz Liszt with Franz Schubert's last great sonata for piano.    Repertoire includes Musica ricercata 1-8 (Ligeti); Funérailles (Liszt); Good Friday Music from Parsifal (Liszt/Wagner); Prelude (Kocsis/Wagner) and Isolde's Liebestod (Liszt/Wagner) from Tristan und Isolde; and Schubert's Sonata in B-flat, D960.
