SUMMARY:Chaplain's Conversation
DESCRIPTION:In Chaplain's Conversations, key figures in our community explore their path to the University, what inspires them in their research, and their thoughts about the future of education, with Donald MacEwan, the University Chaplain. In this Conversation, Donald will be talking to Dr Gurch Sanghera, Director of Research in the School of International Relations, the co-Deputy Director of the Minorities Research Centre at the University and a member of the AHRC's Peer Review College. In 2020, he was made a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. Gurch's research explores the complexities of social justice and, in particular, the discursive and material reproduction of marginalisation and exclusion globally, nationally and locally. Students, members of staff and all who are interested are welcome to attend. There will also be time for questions to Gurch, and to hear a piece of music he has chosen for the occasion. To book a free place, contact the Byre Theatre at byreboxoffice@st-andrews.ac.uk or 01334 475000. https://events.st-andrews.ac.uk/events/chaplains-conversation-4/
