SUMMARY:ONLINE Speaker Series with Alex Feechan - FINDRA
DESCRIPTION:Join us for this weeks' Speaker Series where we will be joined by Alex Feechan.         Alex Feechan is the founder of Award Winning Outdoor Clothing brand,  FINDRA.    Launched in December 2014, Alex felt compelled to establish her brand after struggling to find stylish functional clothing to wear for outdoor activities. FINDRA combines Alex's talent as a fashion designer and her passion for the outdoors.    After graduating from the prestigious Royal College of Art with an MA in Fashion and Textiles Alex built up a 25-year career working on the knitwear design and development for International Brands such as Calvin Klein, Escada and Brooks Brother to name but a few.    Prior to launching FINDRA Alex was the Design Manager for the Scottish Knitwear division of South Korean Retail giant Eland. Throughout her career Alex has travelled internationally gaining insight and experience into other cultures and design tastes. Her passion for getting outdoors led her to relocate to the Scottish Borders where her love of mountain biking and the great outdoors ultimately led to her founding and establishing FINDRA.    Since its launch, Alex has grown FINDRA from her kitchen table to the business it is today. FINDRA is sold predominately through the brand's online shop and via their retail space in Innerleithen.    The business has been nominated and won numerous awards since its inception from 'Sports Entrepreneur of the Year' to receiving an 'International Design and Innovation Award' for their best-selling Marin Cowl Neck.    In 2019 FINDRA won the VIBES Scotland product award category. VIBES is the Scottish Environmental award and recognises the hugely impactful approach the business has to design sustainable outdoor clothing.    The FINDRA journey has been a real adventure full of many ups and downs, sometimes stressful, sometimes exhilarating but never boring!
