SUMMARY:Shape/Shift --- Concrete Poetry in Action
DESCRIPTION:How can a poem demonstrate or empower positive change? Join writer and interdisciplinary artist Rebecca Sharp in creating poems as activating objects. You will see examples and learn techniques of shape or 'concrete' poetry, working with the visual placement of words on the page -- writing a few of your own. Drawing from her recent collection Rough Currency, Rebecca has designed this workshop to address themes of energy, power, and sustainability. Recommended for ages 16+, no experience necessary. This workshop is presented by the Centre for Energy Ethics to mark the UN Climate Change Conference (COP26) in Glasgow. https://events.st-andrews.ac.uk/events/shape-shift-concrete-poetry-in-action-2/
