SUMMARY:ModCon Research Group: Roast Your Supervisor
DESCRIPTION:In this Roast your Supervisor research events, organised by the ModCon Research Group, Professor Gill Plain & Michela Esposito will present 'Technology, disability and masculinity after WW2'.    The series 'Roast your Supervisor' will give a platform to School of English staff to present their recent research to the School community.    There is, however, a twist to these events: Following the presenter's presentation, they will be grilled by one of their own PhD students about the topic and their research.    This turns a conversational situation which most of us are used to -- namely the supervisee explaining themselves and their research to their supervisor -- on its head.    Naturally, it would also be encouraged for the audience to ask some critical questions and participate as actively as possible.    The events will take place on MS Teams on a fortnightly basis on Wednesdays at 5.30pm and they will be free to attend for anyone interested.
