DESCRIPTION:The Fourth Horseman: apocalypse now or apocalypse deferred.  It appears that there are daily reports of new plagues of killer viruses and the post-antibiotic age is daily predicted. This talk will explore infectious disease as the agent of apocalypse and the role of St Andrews researchers in preventing or mitigating the risk.
