DESCRIPTION:'Akong: A Remarkable Life' is a documentary about the late Akong Rinpoche, a Tibetan refugee who established the first ever Tibetan Buddhist Monastery in the West - Samye Ling in Dumfriesshire. The film tells the story of his escape from Tibet, life in exile and his humanitarian work. The screening is at 7pm, Friday 2nd November in School I (St Salvator's Quad).    A trailer of the film is available to view in advance.
