DESCRIPTION:The Laidlaw Music Centre will partner with St Andrews Voices and the St Andrews Music Club to host a virtual concert by world-renowned vocal ensemble Voces8 from the McPherson Recital Room on Tuesday 22 June at 1900. Voces8 tour globally, record exclusively for Decca Classics and, since the beginning of the pandemic, have hosted their own hugely successful online vocal a cappella festival 'Live from London'. Following their much-lauded visit to St Andrews in 2015, the group visit again, working virtually with the St Andrews A Cappella Society, with young Scottish composers and with Voices' Singing for Lung Health participants, as well as providing a preview of the McPherson Recital Room's stunning acoustic possibilities in their live-streamed concert.
