Work, Organisations and Society thematic research group meeting Preparing papers for conferences

This meeting of the Work, Organisations and Society thematic group of the Department of Management will take the form of a workshop to help with preparation for conferences, an integral part of the role of an academic.

Presenting work at conferences can be an important step in developing research for publication, finding your research community and building your profile. This session is a chance for PhD students and early-career colleagues to think about their conference strategy, and for all experienced colleagues to share insights, experience and guidance. It will also cover a general process for preparing conference submissions.

The event will prepare participants for conferences in fields including:

– marketing
– leadership
– SMEs
– international business
– policy.

The session will be interactive and led by Professor Paul Hibbert, Honorary Professor in the Department, with input from other staff on the day.
