Learn More About Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) PhD Scholarships at St Andrews
As one of 16 member universities of the Scottish Graduate School of Social Science, the University of St Andrews is able to offer full- and part-funded PhD scholarships across a range of social science disciplines.
You are invited to join us for this lunchtime event to learn more about the Scottish Graduate School of Social Science (SGSSS) and how to apply for ESRC doctoral scholarships for September 2019 entry.
Academic staff involved in SGSSS will be there to answer your questions – Dr Gurch Sanghera will provide an overview of SGSSS activities and Dr David McCollum will give advice on how to prepare an SGSSS scholarship application. You will also hear from two current ESRC funded doctoral students, Marisa McVey and Lewis Dowle, who will talk about why they decided to continue to a doctoral degree, why they chose St Andrews for their doctoral studies, and the benefits of being part of the SGSSS.
Hosted by the Provost, Dr Monique Mackenzie, this event will be of interest to all final-year undergraduates and Masters students who are considering continuing to a doctoral degree in the social sciences.
No need to register for this event. All welcome!
