In the majestic setting of Holy Trinity Church, Music
Society's flagship ensemble presents a variety of Eastern
European works including Rimsky-Korsakov's Scheherazade.
Taking its name from the central character in 'One
Thousand and One Nights', Arabian influences intertwine
with those of Imperial Russia to create an especially vibrant
piece with fresh melodies and colourful orchestration.
