University of St Andrews Folk Festival - https://fixr.co/event/224790857

The University of St Andrews Folk and Traditional Music Society is holding their annual Folk Festival from Friday 11 to Sunday 13 March.

A range of events will take place throughout St Andrews, offering a chance for any folk music enthusiasts or musicians to experience traditional music. The events showcase local talent, but also involve renowned folk musicians.

The festival will commence with an Open Mic Night in the Beacon Bar of the St Andrews Students' Association from 8pm to 10pm on Friday 11 March. This will be followed by a traditional music session starting at 10pm, also in the Beacon Bar. Both events are open and free to all to attend and participate.

Starting at 7pm on Saturday 12 of March, the well-known multi-instrumentalist Tim Edey will open a concert, with the Folk Duo Saltfishforty as the headliners. A late-night ceilidh with the Kilrymont Ceilidh Band from 11pm to 1am will round off this musical evening. Concert and ceilidh will be held in 601, the event venue of the Students' Association. Tickets for these events can be purchased online.

On Sunday 13 March, a traditional music session, free to all to attend and participate, will end the festival, starting from 2pm at Molly Malone's Irish Pub.
