Jessica Richards
Byre Joint Director and Stage / Company Manager
Jessica trained in Drama at the University of Exeter. She has worked as a performer, stage manager and company manager with a variety of companies including Communicado, 7:84, Boilerhouse, Lung Ha, The Royal Lyceum Theatre, Stellar Quines and the Traverse Theatre. She was Company Manager for the National Theatre of Scotland from its launch in 2006 until 2019.
In September 2019 Kally Lloyd-Jones and Jessica Richards took up post as Joint Directors of the Byre Theatre in St Andrews and Kally combines this with her continuing work as a director and choreographer.
Bee George
Deputy Technical and Operations Manager
Bee has a degree in Theological Studies from the University of St Andrews. She started her career as a venue technician working with The Byre, Traverse and Macrobert before moving into freelance Stage Management — working nationally and internationally with numerous Scottish touring companies as well as Opera North, Opera Holland Park and Northern Ballet
She has been Deputy Technical and Operations Manager since September 2019.
