The Bookshop of the World Making and Trading Books in the Dutch Golden Age

Join Principal Professor Sally Mapstone for the launch of The Bookshop of the World: Making and Trading Books in the Dutch Golden Age, written by Andrew Pettegree of the School of History (left) and Arthur der Weduwen and published by Yale University Press.

Andrew is Professor of Modern History at the St Andrews and Director of the Universal Short Title Catalogue. He has published widely on the Reformation and the history of communication. Arthur is a post-doctoral research fellow at the University, and his ground-breaking study of the first century of Dutch newspapers was published in 2017.

A drinks reception will follow the launch. The event is free, but ticketed. Tickets are available from Topping & Company Booksellers and come with a token for a discounted copy of the book.
