The Arts & Humanities and the Environment Launch Event - Scottish Arts and Humanities Alliance (SAHA)
A round table featuring arts and humanities academics, early career researchers, and practitioners.
The Scottish Arts and Humanities Alliance (SAHA) is a joint initiative of ten Scottish Higher Education institutions, the Royal Society of Edinburgh and the Scottish Graduate School for Arts & Humanities.
It was established to give a public and collective voice to the Arts and Humanities in the context of Higher Education and will also make connections as appropriate with work at a UK level to promote the value of SHAPE (social sciences, humanities and the arts for people, the economy and the environment).
SAHA launches with three round tables featuring arts and humanities academics, early career researchers, and practitioners, on the following themes:
- The Arts & Humanities and Covid-19 (1pm, Monday 30 November)
- The Arts & Humanities and the Environment (1pm, Monday 7 December)
- The Arts & Humanities and Education Policy (1pm, Monday 14 December)
Speakers include: Professor John Burnside (University of St Andrews), Dr Dominic Hinde (Queen Margaret University), Hannah Imlach (University of Edinburgh) and Professor Mřiréad Nic Craith (Heriot-Watt University).
The round table will be chaired by Professor Claire Squires (SGSAH).
